Dear Future Wife: I’m Not Perfect

Allow me to introduce myself.

I’m Mr. Imperfect.

I am happy to give you the experience of all my corrected mistakes.

I have learned from my previous experiences in life, love and relationships.

I’m burying my old ways and giving life to what makes me a better man.

What I have realized is that I will always be working to get better for you and for us.

I will make new mistakes, correct those and continue to grow as your husband.

I understand that I will mess up, come up short and disappoint you.

I understand that I will forget things like dates.

I may forget your birthday, our anniversary, to pick up your favorite candy or to do the laundry.

But there are things I will never forget.

I will never forget how to make you laugh and smile!

I will never forget how we met!

Most importantly, I will never forget how to love you!

I’m imperfect but I’m not a quitter.

I realize a relationship and personal growth requires stamina.

I am always in the “gym”!

I understand there are no quick fixes in becoming a better man.

My motivation comes from within and is externalized by the way I treat you.

Forever improving while thanking you for you forgiveness and patience.

I will not concentrate on your flaws to distract me from my own.

I am imperfect while continually striving to be better for what you deserve.
